Think we could maybe catch up over coffee sometime?
Good to see you again. Is that interlude where you used a DORKS to give yourself wings still canon? I thought that one was really funny
This guy who looked a lot like me showed up a few weeks ago and said something like "You're the self insert now, good luck." So I think it's... debatedly canon? All I'm saying is that I never did it.
((I'll keep the old canon around once I get the reboot proper started, just treat the current gang as separate from the originals.))
What's your STANDO?
My stand is a lot like Hermit Purple. I've dubbed it『Andromeda』and it manifests as a set of turquoise chains in a manner similar to Mr. Joestar's stand, with similar physical capabilities including Hamon Transmission. Its primary ability, however, is a fairly powerful healing ability: Stronger then Hamon-based healing, but not enough reattach a completely severed limb.
((Basically, Andromeda is the same type of Stand as Hermit Purple, like Crazy Diamond to Star Platinum))
Taking questions for a couple agent pairs, though the second pair are still in the works.
[[ admin edit: fixed your HTML, it was breaking the page ]]
You're so fluffy! Do you have a fur care routine? What's the most annoying part about taking care of it?
I am from a... medieval, I believe, Continuum, where I kept clean by tongue, a damped abrasive cloth when possible, and a softer weave for the inside of my ears. Here, it is very different. Substances I do not want to -- or cannot safely -- ingest regularly get stuck in my fur, while access to water and special cleaners is normal. The most irritation I have faced yet is trying to get glitter out of my ears.
((Had to look up rabbit hygiene for this, and I'm glad I did. More interesting material to work with!))
What's the least wolf-friendly part of living in HQ?
I'm not really a wolf, but the smells. Between everything agents get covered in during missions, Medical, the cafeteria, and how hard it can be to properly clean before the Ironic Overpower gets you, HQ can be rank at times. You humans are lucky your senses of smell are so poor.
All questions for Agents Richard Legard and Marina Nicodelli can go here.
Second... Well, there was my old laptop, not so long ago, actually. We had manage to avoid this happening to important things... or things not pretty much doomed to go back to the DoSAT anyways. Not really her fault though, her Mini was the one which ended up yanking the cable I was using for charging it up, and at that point, it was pure reflex to not let it crash on the floor. I was talking about (and needing) to replace it with an upgrade, but... Well, I hope DoSAT can salvage the data. You wouldn't believe how many musics, mods, files, Internet links and ebooks you can hoard on just one device... (Totally not regretting my electrical shaver though. Dang thing could never actually shave anything.)
Taking questions for:
Lemon (a rat from the Sonic continuum) and Chelsea (an Inkling from the Splatoon continuum). Both of them are in DMS.
Chelsea: Oh man, I can’t decide on the weirdest part, ‘cuz there’s like, a few parts that are pretty much equally weird! There’s how I tried sitting on the ground by a tree in some foresty part of a mountain and ended up falling into a weird grey hallway; how confusing said hallway is; oh and there’s finding living, breathing, humans, talking plants, and other species I’ve never seen before; and… that’s pretty much it.
Lemon: The weirdest part for me would be how I got to the cafeteria by falling in a crack in the sidewalk in my world. At the time, I thought the cafeteria was under the sidewalk, but there wasn’t a crack in the ceiling. In hindsight, it was probably a plothole I fell through.
Taking questions for Alex (A mage from Fate) and Giri (A dragoness from Antarsia).
What's the hardest aspect of being blind?
Colors. Still can't see them, and even with other senses to fill the void, everything is pretty bland. Probably the thing I miss the most.
Do you happen to know anything about a guy who occasionally shows up in HQ? Goes by Caster, looks just like you but has horns and claims to be part dragon? I believe it, too, he's -
(Aelis shows up and slaps a hand over her partner's mouth, so there's no telling what she was going to say, but knowing the two of them there's a 99% chance it wasn't even remotely SFW.)
A Caster that looks like me? I have no idea what you're talking about.
Well, whoever he is, he's the reason my first ever solo mission was borderline bleepfic.
That sounds horrible.
Doomed Timeline Falloren: All right, enough of that, you're mixing up the timelines! Just shush?
Aelis: You okay?
Doomed Timeline Falloren: I'm Doomed Timeline Falloren. I am, by definition, not okay.
Taking questions for the same lot as last year, plus two others I've recently taken off the backburner:
What're your preferred weapons, and what do you think of your partner's preferred weapons?
What was the weirdest thing you ever stole?
Might as well give this a shot. Answering questions for the eternal slacker Phil and his robot-pain in the neck Spensor.
Have you ever gotten Phil to write the mission report? It odesn't sound like the sort of thing he'd usually do.
Have you encountered any racism in Headquarters?
Edward: Probably her horrific taste in music - Aladdin really gets on my nerves after the first million times.
Kat: Where do I start? The worst offender is definitely his hatred of other people (not exaggerating that much) and consequently the way he embarrasses me in every single social situation.
"..."
"I feel very filthy now. I was joking there, just to clarify. I'm a completely ordinary human being aside from my ears. And also, WATASHI WA FURRY JA NAI. So please don't pretend I am."
Anyway, this question's for Larry. I heard somewhere that part of HQ is actually built in Minecraft; is that how you got in? I imagine a game with no real storyline to speak of doesn't have a lot of plotholes going around for unsuspecting mobs to fall into.
((Was there supposed to be an image link there when you said "This, but anthropomorphic" for Leo? All I see is text))
"Actually, you can blame badfic for that." Larry said. "99% of all Minecraft plotholes come from them."
((and yes, there's supposed to be an image. Here's a link I know works: https://dragon-story.fandom.com/wiki/Tiger%27sEyeDragon Look at the baby stage picture.))
Taking questions for Finch, Bingle, Ninetwo, Anne, her cat, and anybody else about the Janitorial Division.
What happens if you find something cool and still functioning in the trash? Is there a "Lost and Found" somewhere in HQ? Do they let you keep it?
Mow. Moow mow mow mow [ear flick] mow mow mooooow mow mow mow?
(I got someone to translate, and I'm hoping snow leopard is close enough to cat)
What did your letter say?
My cat has torn it up in a fit of rage. She's gone, now; I think she's looking for Ninetwo or somebody else to attack.
That's what I was going for, anyway.
Taking questions for Thoth, Tom, Ferrux, Ialthos, or any other charactee I've forgotten here.
Sir Ialthos, a moment of your time. Rumour has it you've a sordid tale of aborted dragon-slaying to tell. I would love to hear the details!
Rita~
Are either of you concerned about the possibility of demons getting into Thoth's power armor, and, if so, what're you doing about it?
Taking questions for all four of mine (Chris, Ami, Miguel, and Violet), as usual. Since she's one of mine, I'll also be taking questions for newbie agent Palmeira Citrine this year, who has asked me to inform you all not to call her "Palmy".
Palmeira, my readers want to know: just what is the nature of your relationship with Agent Olivine?
Rita~
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Way I hear it there's some pretty big stuff happening in your respective franchises, you been keeping up with the latest news? Any thoughts if so?
Taking questions for Abaddon and T'Zar, Salok, Edgar and Agen____t, Brenda and Charlie, Dawn, Allison, Kozar, the Reader, Naergondir and Gurnirel, Jacques (and every AU version of him you can possibly think of for good measure), Ruby, Seren, and Owain Sato, and Cai Bonnefoy.
Think we could maybe catch up over coffee sometime?
SIELU seems like a pretty specialized department, what do you do when there aren't enough fics to keep you busy? Do you ever get called in for other languages? Don't think we have a group for Huttese or Mando'a, so you lot seem like the most qualified candidates.
What's your record for the number of alternate versions of yourself you've slept with simultaneously?
Taking questions for Alantha, Allanya, Aelis, Nowhere, Ava, Ailienas, Feloriel, Falloren, Iria, Faylise, Matteo, and Nievelle.
Edit: You can ask anything SF4M, but if the character would be confused or lie, that's the answer you're getting. Feel free to specify a point in the storyline, too!
What is your favorite food?
Where did you find all these guys, gals, and others? Are all of them besides Falloren active agents or do you have other plans for them?
Taking questions for the Aviator, Zeb, and Elanor; Ix and Charlotte; Lorson and Dax; and Alex, Olivine, and Farilan.
What was the funniest thing the Word World did in a badfic?
Southy tells me the technicians are still trying to figure out my old ship. Have they brought you in at all? I'd be very surprised if they didn't consult another Gem for help with it. (Frankly, I'm also surprised they haven't asked me; suppose they don't want to risk me grabbing it and leaving or something.)
This is the first I've heard of any such ship, but I'd be more than happy to take a look at another piece of Homeworld tech! Hit me up whenever, I even sleep at my desk in DoSAT.
What's the best part of being human? What do you miss most about being a vampire?
Best part by far is being able to fall asleep with Fwai cuddled up against me in bed, and then waking up next to her in the mornings. And, you know, not feeling the insatiable urge to drink her blood at all times. That part's nice.
The worst part is definitely how... weak I feel. I miss being able to lift several tons without straining for it, and right now I get tired out just by sword fighting practice for a few minutes. I'm just so much weaker than I'm used to being, and I worry about my inability to protect my wife, you know?
You know, like stuff you find all over the multiverse, zombies and vampires and skeletons and the like.
...It's zombies. I know, I know, I married a vampire, but there's always been something so fascinating about zombies to me. They don't really feel like a monster to me so much as a force of nature. Really great for post-apocalyptic stories. Ever read The Zombie Survival Guide? The Forest of Hands and Teeth? Yeah. Stuff like that. Good stuff.
How's your relationship with the Detective? (Or is that whole idea the Monitor pulling a Rita Skeeter as usual?)
And to get this out of the way, I'm not entirely sure what's going on between us. We meet up, have a few drinks, yes I'm going to rehab, shpx off, and... you know, shag. That's about it, really.
Elanor's been starting to call him Dad, though. Makes me worry about both of them.
I would love to sit down with you sometime to speak regarding the Detective's growing parental role in your daughter's life and, yes, your struggles in alcoholic rehabilitation. My readers would be fascinated to see this update from the infamous Aviator.
Do let me know.
Rita~
